Suzanne Lerner brings decades of experience in business, as well as a background in philanthropy with a primary focus on gender equality, economic empowerment and social justice.
In 1983, Lerner founded Lerner et Cie, a leading women’s contemporary showroom with four locations nationwide. In 1986, Lerner co-founded the clothing company Michael Stars, of which she now serves as President. Today both entities have merged under the Michael Stars umbrella to represent the lifestyle and accessories collection.
Lerner has had extensive involvement with philanthropy and charitable initiatives, domestically and abroad. She supports numerous causes as a board member of Women Thrive Alliance, Ms. Foundation, Women Donors Network, Women Moving Millions, ACLU of Southern California and Prosperity Catalyst and has contributed to the growth of many others that focus on women empowerment and economic and social equality. She continues her charitable mission through the Michael Stars Foundation.
