Ndapwilapo Selma Shimutwikeni is our esteemed Ambassador for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) in Namibia! With a remarkable career trajectory and a passion for driving positive change, Ndapwilapo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our mission.
Currently serving as the Director of Namib Desert Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (NAMDIA), Ndapwilapo leads a cutting-edge diamond marketing and sales company, strategically positioning Namibia’s unique and highly sought-after diamonds in the global market. Her role underscores her commitment to creating sustainable pathways for economic growth and empowerment.
In addition to her role at NAMDIA, Ndapwilapo is the Chief Executive Officer of Rich Africa Consultancy, a strategic advisory firm specializing in natural resources law, policy, and investment facilitation. Her leadership at Rich Africa Consultancy has fostered vital linkages in the mining, oil, and gas sectors while championing thought-leadership platforms on critical development issues.
With a global perspective, Ndapwilapo has served as a National Consultant for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), offering guidance to the Namibian government on cyber security policy development. Her expertise has also been sought by Howells Solicitors in the United Kingdom, where she served as an Advisor, further enriching her international experience.
Ndapwilapo’s journey began as a Graduate Assistant at Namdeb Diamond Corporation, where she honed her skills in the diamond industry. Her academic pursuits include an LL.M in Mineral Law and Policy from the University of Dundee, where she achieved a commendable Merit, and an LL.M (Senior Status) in International Trade Law from the University of Leeds, also with Merit.
