Milena is an accomplished marketer, communicator and business strategist. She has over 25 years of professional experience, a passion for the events industry and business development, and has a competitive sales drive. As the President and owner of Nexus Exhibits Ltd, Milena leads through engagement, education, and empowerment. She is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, culture as well as overseas marketing and sales activities. Milena graduated with an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and has a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.

She is a member and on the Global Board Committee of the Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) and of Organization of Women In International Trade (OWIT). Currently she is the Ambassador of the Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL), a national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women in leadership roles, which she helped start the Calgary Chapter in 2012. Milena’s commitment and passion for this cause is constantly in focus as she helps lead WIL to deliver innovative programming to thousands of women across Canada. She was awarded “Presidents Volunteer Champion” Award by the Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL) and one of the nominees in 2018 for Women of Inspiration Canada, and in 2017 nominee for “Celebration of Achievements” Awards given by Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE). As well as winner of University of Calgary’s WRC Distinction Alumna award, one of three 2016 WRC Awards of Excellence honouring her outstanding leadership in striving to improve the community and recently received the 2018 “Business Leader in Calgary Award.
