Margot Kane
Margot Kane is the Chief Investment Officer at Spring Point Partners, where she leads the organization’s efforts to use investment as a strategic tool across its portfolio. With extensive experience in developing blended investment strategies, Margot plays a key role in strengthening SPP’s investment capabilities and advancing its impact-first mission. Outside of work, she’s a proud mom of two who loves spending time in the kitchen, on the tennis court, or out on the trails.
Howard Lee Morgan
Howard Lee Morgan is the Chair of B Capital Group, a multi-stage global investment fund, and the Co-founder of First Round Capital, an early-stage venture fund established in 2004 with offices in Philadelphia, New York, and San Francisco. He is also President of Arca Group Inc. and a Director at Idealab.
Previously, he served as the first President of Renaissance Technologies Corp., where he supervised venture capital investments in high-tech companies. Since 1989, he has led Arca Group, Inc., a venture capital and consulting firm that has guided numerous startups from seed stage to IPO. He also oversees M5Invest LLC and the Morgan Family Common Investment Fund (MFCIF LLC).
Dr. Morgan is actively involved in nurturing startups in early-stage venture and quantitative investing, including Precision Neuroscience, EeroQ, MyndYou, and Augury Systems. He has worked extensively with Idealab companies, serving on the board of Evolution Robotics (acquired by iRobot) and as Chairman of Internet Brands, overseeing its public offering and subsequent sale to Hellman & Friedman.
A leader in education and philanthropy, Dr. Morgan serves as a Trustee of Cornell University, a Foundation Director at the New York Public Library, a Trustee of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories, a Director and Executive Committee Member of Math for America, and Chair of the Mabel Mercer Foundation.
